Ramble 29th January 2016

FRIDAY 29TH JANUARY 2016-01-31

SPUD, AILEEN, PHILLIP, ERNEST, ANDREW

WE TRAVELLED ON THE X1 BUS TO BACKWELL TRAFFICE LIGHTS. BEGAN THE WALK TURNING INTO STATION ROAD, BACKWELL, TURNING RIGHT ONTO A SIDE ROAD PASSING LOVELY OLD COATTAGES. EVENTUALLY WE JOINED THE CYCLE/FOOTPATH HEADING TOWARDS LONG ASHTON. WE HAD LUNCH AT GATCOMBE FARM, A LOVELY CARVERY. AFTER A WELCOME REST WE CONTINUED WALKING ALONG THE FOOTPATH TOWARDS LONG ASHTON, WALKED THROUGH THE CHURCHYARD AND CAUGHT THE BUS HOME TO WESTON OUTSIDE THE ANGEL PUB. THE PHOTOS BELOW WERE TAKEN ON THE MAIN PATH LEAVING GATCOMBE FARM. THE ONE ON THE LEFT BIT MY INDEX FINGER ON MY RIGHT HAND. IT REALLY DID HURT, BROKE MY NAIL, BUT IT WAS MY FAULT ENTIRELY AS I STOOD TOO CLOSE. I THINK THEY THOUGHT I WAS TRYING TO FEED THEM!

WEATHER WINDY AND VERY LIGHT DRIZZLE AT TIMES.

5 MILES IN TOTAL WALKING.
