BEAUTIFUL! SEE PHOTO IN OUR PHOTO LINK.

WE CONTINUED THROUGH FOOTPATHS WHICH BROUGHT US DOWN A VERY STEEP HILL AND ONTO THE CLEVEDON TO PORTISHEAD COASTAL PATH. FROM HERE WE CONTINUED INTO CLEVEDON AND CAUGHT THE X5 BUS BACK TO WESTON.

WE JOINED THE NEXT SECTION OF THE STRAWBERRY LINE, WHICH IS ON THE RIGHT, AFTER WALKING OVER THE DISUSED RAILWAY BRIDGE. CONTINUING ALONG HERE WE PASSED MENDIP SPRINGS GOLF COURSE ON THE RIGHT AND THE FISHING GROUNDS AND CAFÉ ON THE LEFT. THIS BROUGHT US INTO CONGRESBURY. USING THE PELICAN CROSSING WE WALKED ALONG THE SIDE OF THE RIVER YEO FOR A SHORT TIME THEN TURNED RIGHT ONTO THE CONGRESBURY TO YATTON SECTION OF THE STRAWBERRY LINE. FROM HERE WE HEADED TO THE MAIN ROAD THROUGH YATTON TO CATCH OUR APPROPRIATE BUSES TO TAKE US HOME.

WE CONTINUED IN THIS DIRECTION, PASSING THE CHURCH ON OUR RIGHT, DOWN ANOTHER SMALL PATH WHICH BECAME VERY MUDDY UNDER FOOT. EVENTUALLY WE CAME BACK TO THE MAIN ROAD AND CONTINUED FOR A FEW YARDS BEFORE TURNING RIGHT INTO WINDMILL LANE, CLIMBING A STEEP HILL. THERE WERE VERY FEW CARS ALONG THIS ROAD. QUITE NEAR TO THE TOP OF THIS LANE WE TURNED RIGHT ONTO ANOTHER MUDDY PATH. EVENTUALLY THIS LED US ONTO A ROAD IN CANADA COMBE. DOWNHILL ALL THE WAY UNTIL TURNING LEFT ONTO ANOTHER MUDDY FOOTPATH WHICH EVENTUALLY BROUGHT US ONTO THE HUTTON ROAD. WE CROSSED THIS ROAD WITH CARE AND VISITED THE OLD INN FOR LUNCH.
